ROSARIO CABALLERO

Real estate has been part of Rosario Caballero's life since before she chose it as a career. She grew up in Nogales, Sonora, in a family with deep roots in tourism development — her uncle Rafael Caballero founded San Carlos, Sonora, one of the most recognized coastal destinations in northwestern Mexico. That background shaped how she sees property: not as a transaction, but as the foundation of a life someone is building.

Rosario studied Marketing at the University of Arizona, graduating in 1985. Her first move into real estate came through Grupo Puebla, where she managed sales for two tourism developments in Bahía de Kino and San Carlos. From there, a career that has taken her across several states of Mexico — including a chapter with Century 21 in Sonora, and a significant role as Sales Office Administrator for Loreto Bay in Nopoló, BCS, one of the largest sustainable developments in Mexico at the time.

When Loreto Bay closed, Rosario and her family didn't leave Baja — they moved to La Paz. She took time to learn the territory properly, driving the peninsula end to end on two separate occasions before committing to the market. She joined South Baja Realtors in 2017 and has been an active member of AMPI since, adding certifications and training consistently throughout her time here.

What she brings to every client is something that cannot be manufactured: she has been the buyer. She knows what it feels like to arrive in Baja for the first time, to fall in love with the land, and to navigate the process of putting down roots somewhere new. That experience — personal and professional — is what she puts to work for every person she represents.
